Horounziak, Irene (26 OCT 1957)
Miss Irene Horounziak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Horounziak, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Gordon Kuehni, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kuehni, Boyd, were married Saturday, Oct. 26, 1957, at St. Mary Junction in Stanley. The Rev. Edward Maslewicz performed the double ring ceremony at 10 a.m.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor length gown of French Rosepoint lace and tulle over Duchess satin. Her veil fell from a crown of pearls and sequins, and she carried red roses and white carnations.
Attending the bride were Miss Sophie Slowiak, Miss Janice Schumacher and Miss Patricia Holewinski. All wore cotillion blue lace and net over taffeta gowns. Floor length, with matching lace boleros. They carried pink and white carnations.
Harlan Bernklau attended the groom as best man. Ushers were Melvin Kuehni of Minneapolis, Donald Bruha of Boyd, and Francis Derks of Boyd.
A wedding dinner, reception and supper were held at St. Mary’s Junction.
The bride’s mother attended the wedding in a navy blue dress with black accessories. The groom’s mother wore a navy blue ensemble. Each wore a corsage of red roses.
The couple will make their home at the groom’s parent’s farm home.
