Wiater, John Sr. (? - NOV 1957)

Funeral services were conducted at St. Wenceslaus Church in Chicago Nov. 19 for John Wiater Sr.

He was the beloved husband of Sophie (nee Graikowski), dearest father of Celestine, Betty, Jean and John, father-in-law of Barbara, Paul Cushing and Grant Wiely, loving grandfather of Celesta, Patrick, Lynae and Drew, brother of Adam Wiater of Thorp, Frank of Neillsville, Eddie, Adolph and Joseph of Chicago, Mrs. Mikcal, Suzann Pabich, Mrs. Roman, Mary Grokowski, Mrs. Kenneth, Martha Sonnatag, all of Milwaukee, and Miss Stella Wiater of Chicago.

He was laid to rest in St. Adalbert’s Cemetery, Chicago.

Pallbearers were: Clemance Grajek, Frank Skrzynecki, Thomas Wiater, Robert Wiater, Leonard Jasinek of Chicago, and Sp3 Conrad Graikowski of Thorp.

Attending the funeral from this community were: Mrs. Mike Graikowski of Withee, Mrs. Edna Jasinek, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Wiater, Mrs. Celia Lesniewski, Mrs. Benedict Jarocki and daughter, and John T. Graikowski, all of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
