Swieso, Walter G. (9 December 1891 - 30 September 1960)
Walter G. Swieso, 68, died in his sleep sometime Friday morning at his home in Greenwood.
Mr. Swieso was born December 9, 1891, in Columbus. At the age of 12 years he and his family moved to Clark County, where they settled on a farm northeast of Loyal.
After his marriage to Effie White in Loyal October 25, 1917, the Swiesos lived on that farm for several years. In 1936 they moved onto the Huntzicker farm, two miles south of Greenwood, where they lived until 1942, when they moved into Greenwood.
He was employed by the Greenwood Cooperative until 1958, when he suffered a heart attack, and has been retired since. Mr. Swieso was a director of the Greenwood Credit Union and a member of Grace Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Ila Rae) Thiede of Granton and Mrs. William (Lola Mae) Pfeifer of Milwaukee; two sons, Vernard of Burlington and Wilbert of Fresno, Calif., and by 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from Grace Methodist Church. The Rev. Gene W. Carlson officiated. Burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.
