Morrison, Sarah (19 August 1880 - 1 October 1960)
Mrs. Sarah Morrison, 80, of Thorp, Town of Butler, died Saturday evening, October 1, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alvin Reinke, in Eau Claire. She suffered a heart attack last spring.
Sarah (Brockley) Morrison was born August 19, 1880, in Cleveland, O. She was married October 13, 1898, to Eden Morrison at Valley.
In November, 1882, she came with her parents to Valley, where she grew to womanhood. In August, 1912, the Morrison family moved onto a farm in the Town of Butler, where she resided until her illness.
She was a member of Immanuel United Church, where funeral services were held Tuesday. The Rev. Orval Egbert officiated. Burial was made in the Butler cemetery.
Mrs. Morrison was the last charter member of the Butler Ladies Aid. Her husband died August 29, 1945.
She is survived by three sons, Bert of Geneva, Ill.; Roy of Wenatchee, Wash.; and Arthur of Thorp, and by a daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Evelyn) Reinke of Eau Claire. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Brockley of Baraboo, and John Brockley of Baldwin; three sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Caucutt of Osseo, Mrs. Anna Daines of Thorp, and Mrs. Jennie Daines of Capistrano, Calif.
