Stendel, Delores (Marriage - 22 October 1960)

Miss Delores Stendel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Sternitzky of Granton, and Harold Stauffacher, son of Mrs. Larry Stauffacher of Granton exchanged vows Saturday uniting them in marriage.  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Evan Dieck in the Zion American Lutheran Church of Grant.

The bride was attired in a floor-length silk gown styled with a full skirt. The fitted, shirred bodice was fashioned with a semi-scooped neckline, and a head piece of sequins and pearls held her fingertip veil.

Mrs. Philip Hendrickson, South Beloit, Ill., was matron-of-honor, and Judith Stendel was the bridesmaid.

Walter Stauffacher was he brother’s bestman.  Groomsman was Charles Riedel of Granton, and ushers were Gary Stendel and Grant Rose.

The wedding reception was held at the George Sternitzky home in Granton.  A dance was held in the evening in the Granton village hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Stauffacher will make their home on Rt. 2, Granton, where the groom is engaged in farming.
