Dahl, Alma H. #2 (1 AUG 1895 - 5 JAN 1952)

 

Funeral services for Mrs. George Dahl, 56, who died at her home at 1 p.m. Saturday after a lingering illness, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Trinity Lutheran Church.  The Rev. E. E. Aalto officiated and burial was made in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Dahl, the former Alma Hulda Dux, was born Aug. 1, 1895, in Pine Valley Township, Clark Co., Wis.  Her marriage to George Dahl took place Nov. 8, 1916 at the home of her parents in the Town of Pine Valley.  They lived in the Loyal vicinity four years after their married, where he was employed as a cheese maker.  For the next 28 years they operated a farm in the Town of York.  Three years ago they moved to their present home in Loyal.  She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

 

The pallbearers, nephews of the deceased, were Erwin, Verland, Louis, Melvin and Everett Dux, and Erlin Dahl.

 

Mrs. Emma Rottjer and Mrs. Romaine Rossow sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Sometime We’ll Understand," accompanied by Mrs. Jerome Will at the organ.

 

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Doris) Williams, Milwaukee, and a son, Harold, Loyal; two grandchildren, David and Romaine Williams, Milwaukee; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Hagedorn, Neillsville and Mrs. Emma Hoffman, San Francisco, Calif.; five brothers, Herman, Albert and Ben of Neillsville, Frank of Loyal, and Robert, Lancaster, Calif.
