Walls, Elva (28 JUN 1877 - 10 JAN 1952)
A funeral service was performed last Saturday afternoon at the Myre Funeral Home for Elva Walls, 74, of the Town of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), who passed away at her home on Jan. 10th, 1952.
The Rev. Lee Holmes conducted final rites for the deceased, while James Colby sang "Sometime We’ll Understand" and "It Is Well with My Soul." He was accompanied by Mrs. Byron Zepplin at the organ.
Burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were: Jesse Raab, Frank Kline, Henry Boe, Henry Anderegg, Ray Prior and William Seeman.
Elva Walls was born Elva Turner at Neillsville on June 28, 1877. At the age of five she moved with her parents to the Town of York, where she was educated and remained until her marriage on Sept. 25, 1901, to William Walls. In 1925 they moved to Loyal. Eight years ago her husband passed away and since then she has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Claude Steiner.
Surviving her is her daughter, Mrs. Claude (Sybil) Steiner, and two grandsons. Her husband, a brother and a daughter preceded her in death.
