Funeral services for William Will Jr., who was killed when his pickup truck was struck by a Soo Line passenger train at Spencer last Wednesday morning, were held on Saturday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, with the Rev. Fr. N. B. Beschta officiating and interment was made in the church cemetery.

 

Nephews serving as pallbearers were Foster, Jerome, Ralph, Neland and Donald Will and Bernard Tennis. Flowers were carried by Mrs. Foster Will, Mrs. Jerome Will, Mrs. Ralph Will, Mrs. Neland Will, Mrs. Donald Will and Mary Ann Casey.

 

Mr. Will was born in the town of Colby on Sept. 25, 1880, reaching the age of 69 years, two months and four days. He married Minnie Harry at Colby on Aug. 18, 1903. He was the Standard Oil agent in Colby from 1920 to 1930. He, with John Pacholke, built the Colby Theatre in 1928 and operated that until 1936, when they sold it to Frank and Bill Woskie. He moved to Loyal in 1934. He was a member of the Clark county board of supervisors at one time and Clark county deputy sheriff for many years. Mrs. Will died on Feb. 5, 1932.

 

Surviving are his father, William Will Sr. of Colby; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Margaret) Steinwand  of Colby and Mrs. Fred (Frances) Lakosky of Ojus, Fla.; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; four brothers, Joseph of Poynette, Henry of Libertyville, Ill., and Frank and Anton of Colby, and two sisters, Mrs. W. B. (Mary) Pierce of Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Dan (Nettie) Casey of Colby.

 

Out of town relatives attending the funeral were Mrs. Fred Lakosky, of Ojus, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Will of Poynette, Henry Will of Libertyville, Ill., Andrew Will Sr. and Andrew Will Jr. of Mellen, Mr. and Mts. Foster Will of Owen, Mrs. Cornellius Will and John C. Will of Sheboygan, Mrs. William Blank and Harlan Blank of Park Falls, Mary Ann Casey of Appleton and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Will of Loyal.

 

The Tribune extends to the bereaved its sympathy in the loss of a beloved relative.
