Vogel, Charles (20 DEC 1877 - 21 JAN 1952)
Charles Vogel, 74, a longtime resident of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the Marshfield Hospital on Monday, Jan. 21st, 1952. Death was attributed to complications of old age.
Funeral services have been arranged for 9 o’clock on Thursday morning at St. Anthony’s Church in Loyal. The Rev. Norbert King will officiate at the Requiem Mass. Up until the time of the church service, the body will lie in state at the Myre Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Frank Wendel, Tony Christman, John Geiger, Lee Shupe, John Goetz and Louis Stange. Burial will be made in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Charles Vogel was born Dec. 20, 1877 in Manitowoc. He came to Loyal with his parents in 1892 where he has resided most of the time since. His occupation was that of a carpenter.
Surviving him are four sisters, Mrs. Anne Clouse, Loyal, Mrs. Maggie Welch, Wibaux, Mont., Mrs. Kate Pope, Loyal, Mrs. Carrie Robinson, Hamilton, Mont; and five brothers, George, Henry and Matt Vogel, Loyal, Joe Vogel, Milwaukee, and Louis Vogel, Greenwood.
Eight brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
