Gotter, Darlene D. (2 FEB 1952)

Darlene Dawn Gotter, daughter of Mrs. Elsie Gotter, became the bride of Vernon Harold Kasper of Colby on Saturday at a 1:30 p.m. ceremony performed by the Rev. E. E. Aalto at the Trinity Lutheran Church.

The bride’s gown of white slipper satin was designed with a fitted bodice, ninon yoke, long sleeves and a lace ruffle trimmed skirt was gathered from the pointed bodice.  Her fingertip veil fell from a headdress of beaded rhinestone.  She carried a bouquet of red roses and white lilies.

Mrs. Norman Kasper, Spencer, sister-in-law of the groom, served as matron of honor.  Her Nile green gown was fashioned with lace puffed sleeves, fitted bodice and peplum with flared skirt.  She carried a bouquet of gold carnations.

The bridesmaids, Mrs. Elmer Gotter Jr. of Loyal and Miss Donna Gotter of Milwaukee, sister-in-law and sister of the bride, wore gold and pink dresses of slipper satin, respectively, and carried green carnations.

Serving as best man for his brother was Norman Kasper of Spencer.  Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Kasper of Colby.  The groomsmen were Elmer Gotter of Loyal, brother of the bride, and Kenneth Kasper of Unity, cousin of the groom.

The ushers were Ronald Domine, Loyal, cousin of the bride, and Alfred Tautenschloger Jr., New Holstein, Wis., cousin of the groom.  The wedding supper was held in the church parlors.

The groom is a graduate of the Colby High School and is employed on a farm by his father.  He also has an orchestra.

The bride attended Loyal High School.  When they return from their honeymoon, visiting relatives in the state, the newlyweds will live in Colby.

Guests were from Colby, Loyal, Medford, Granton, Spencer, Unity, Augusta, Oshkosh, Hilbert, Collins, and New Holstein.
