Mrs. Henry Steinke, 59, Granton, died Monday in Memorial Hospital from complications resulting from a diabetic and heart condition.  Funeral services will be conducted this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from the Granton Methodist Church. The Rev. Virgil Holmes of Neillsville will officiate.  Burial will be in the Fairchild Cemetery.

Mrs. Steinke, the former Margaret Santo, was born March 21, 1901, in Milwaukee.  Her family moved to Fairchild, where she attended school.  In 1924 she entered nurse’s training in Ladysmith, and following her graduation did private nursing in Milwaukee until 1929.

She was married October 23, 1928, in Milwaukee to Henry Steinke, who survives.  She had been a resident of Granton for the last 18 years, and was a member of the Royal Neighbor Lodge and the Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Clarice) Taylor, South Salem, N. Y.; a son, Dennis Steinke, at home; and two grandsons. Four sisters also survive.  They are: Mrs. Joseph (Celia) Guay, Mrs. Caroline Durst, Mrs. Preston (Josephine) Brown, all of Fairchild; and Mrs. Frank (Blanche) Frandors, Beaver Dam.
