The Aid at Mrs. Joe Counsell’s was well attended, nearly $5 being taken in.
Julius Benedict has sold his farm here and O.E. Counsell bought ten cows off him last week.
Ed and Richard Selves and wives, Jerry Randall and wife, Willard Gebhardt and wife, and Geo. Wilding and wife attended the Brown-Wilding wedding last Wednesday night in Neillsville.
Mrs. Henry Counsell spent part of last week in Neillsville at Jesse Lowe’s.
Mrs. Sarah Selves spent Sunday with her son, Elmer, and family.
There was a family gathering at Wm. West, Sr.’s Sunday.
Mrs. Sarah Wren, who fell out of the barn last Monday night and broke both her wrists and some other bones, is getting along quite nicely considering her age.
There was a husking bee at Ed Huckstead’s Monday. Some 10 or 12 men helped and they finished his corn in fine shape.
Mrs. H.O. Huckstead spent three or four days of last week with her aunt at Black River Falls. She left her much better Saturday afternoon.
Miss Elsie King spent last week with Flara Dresher.
