Davel, Anna #2 (16 AUG 1884 - 26 APR 1952)

 

A funeral High Mass was read in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Wednesday morning at 9 a.m., April 30th, by Rev. Norbert King, for Mrs. Anna Catherine Davel, 67, who died at 8 p.m., Saturday in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

 

The pallbearers were Frank Degenhardt, William Theisen Sr., Everett Eppers, Matt beaver, Fred Adler, and Raphael Haas.  Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Mrs. Davel, the former Ann Dietsche, was born Aug. 16, 1884 in Veefkind.  Her marriage to Joseph Davel took place June 2, 1903.  She had been a resident of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) for 49 years and was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, the Catholic Knights and the Altar Society.  Mr. Davel died in 1945.

 

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sherwood (Helena) Plath, Oshkosh, and Mrs. Margaret Fiegel, Omro, three sons, Alex, Stevens Point, and Bernard and William of Loyal, 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Frank and Ben, Spencer, and Fred, Abbotsford, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Brill, California.

 

A son and a brother also preceded her in death.
