Nevins, Wisconsin (30 September 1937)

 

The 4-H meeting was held at the home of Clement and Mildred Scholtz Saturday night.

 

Axel Mueller had the misfortune to have his thumb so badly crushed while playing at school Friday that it had to be amputated.

 

Vivian McPherson is employed in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gardener near Chili.

 

A party and shower was enjoyed at the Francis Jacobson home in honor of Mrs. Allen Freedlund.  The time was spent in playing Bunco and visiting.  Many dainty gifts were received and a delicious lunch was served consisting of salad, pickles, sandwiches, cake and coffee.

 

Frank Gardener visited at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Franke and family the fore part of the week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bert Todd of Granton are moving their furniture into their new home this week.

 

Everyone is welcome at the Community Club meeting to be held at the home of Mrs. Ole Larsen, October 13.
