Theisen, Florence L. (28 JUN 1952)

 

St. Anthony’s Catholic Church was the setting Saturday, June 28, 1952, at 9:00 a.m., for the wedding of Miss Florence Lucy Theisen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Theisen, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), and James Edmund Ward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Ward, South Milwaukee.  The Rev. Norbert E. King officiated at the nuptial mass.

 

Miss Theisen, given in marriage by her father, wore a ballerina length dress of ice blue nylon tulle over satin and a fingertip veil, and carried a nosegay of yellow roses and white swansonia.

 

Miss Lorraine Voelker, Stephenson, Mich., friend of the bride, attended as maid of honor.  She wore a ballerina length dress of pale yellow marquisette over satin.  Her flowers were a nosegay of blue carnations and white swansonia.

 

John McCarrier, South Milwaukee, acted as best man for his friend’s wedding.

 

Thomas G. Kehoe, South Milwaukee, friend of the groom, and Charles E. Theisen, Milwaukee, brother of the bride, ushered.

 

A breakfast was served at the Charles Hotel, Marshfield, and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School and of the Wis. state College at Stevens Point.  She has been a member of the South Milwaukee High School Faculty.

 

The groom is a graduate of Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa, and is employed by the Midland Co. of South Milwaukee.

 

Upon their return from a honeymoon trip through the wester part of the United States, they will be at home in South Milwaukee.
