Heintz, Matt (11 MAR 1890 - 30 JUN 1952)
Funeral services for Matt Heintz, 62, who died Monday, June 20, 1952, at the Lawrence Firnstahl home from a heart ailment, were held at 2 p.m. at the Myre Funeral Home last Thursday. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. Aalto of Trinity Lutheran Church. Serving as pallbearers were Harold Pagelsdorf, Edwin Haslow, Dale Weyhmiller, Caroll Pagelsdorf, Vernal Haslow and August Thurs.
Mrs. Romaine Rossow sang "Softly and Tenderly" and "Nearer My God to Thee," with Miss Jeanne Nysted accompanying at the organ.
Mr. Heintz was born in Dodge County, March 11, 1890, and came to Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) in earlier life. For several years he worked on farms, and a short time before his marriage he purchased a farm near Greenwood (Clark Co.). Five years ago he sold his farm. The past four months he has worked at the Lawrence Firnstahl farm. He was married at Loyal in May 1913 to Nellie Junk, who survives.
Two sons survive, Herbert, Loyal, and Cpl. Melvin Heintz, Hammond, Ind.; four daughters, Mrs. Lincoln (Adeline) Schoolman, Spencer; Mrs. Doanld (Laura) Lyman, Chicago; Mrs. Henry (Helen) Hoffman, Chicago; and Mrs. Robert (Marcella) Hughes, Madison; twelve grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Morris, Neillsville; and Mrs. Carrie Marks, New York City.
