Garth E. Barth, 68, of Chili, died Dec. 12, 2010, at his home on Fairhaven Avenue.

Garth Barth was born Jan. 13, 1942, at his home in Chili, the son of Edward John and Leana (Bealer) Barth.  He attended the Forestside Grade School and Marshfield High School.  He was drafted into the U. S. Army and completed Army Artillery School. After his service he earned an associate degree in electric engineering through DeVry University.  He farmed in Chili his whole life. Garth loved hunting and taught Hunter’s Education classes for more than 25 years.  He also served as secretary of the Granton Sportsman’s Club. Garth also enjoyed fishing and watching football.

He is survived by a brother, Ernest Barth, of Chili.

Garth was preceded in death by his parents.
