SPENCER
-- Robert L. Hamm, 70, of Spencer, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at
Ministry Saint Joseph's
Hospital.
A
memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at
the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Spencer. A time of visitation
will be held from 4 p.m. until service time at the funeral home on
Monday.
Bob was
born March 11, 1940, in Owen, the son of George and Milsom
(Georgedstead) Hamm. He attended the Owen School System. He proudly
served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1960 and 1961 to 1964. Bob
returned to Wisconsin and was employed as a roofer for Maurer's
Roofing
Company.
He was
united in marriage Oct. 17, 1970, to the former Helen Goch in
Marshfield.
He
enjoyed woodworking, listening to Johnny Cash, a cold beer and
playing cards. He always will be remembered for his trips into town
on his riding lawnmower, which he lovingly referred to as "The
Green
Hornet."
Mr.
Hamm is lovingly survived by his wife, Helen; children, Robert
(Denise) Hamm, Patrick (Tonya) Hamm, Christine (Scott) Jakobi,
Jeremy Hamm (Kathy), Tammy (Michael) Beil and Eddie Hamm. He is
further survived by 11 grandchildren; two brothers, George "Shorty"
Hamm and Alden "Butch" Hamm; as well as many other family and
friends. He will truly be
missed.
His
parents, George and Milsom; as well as a sister, Violet; all
preceded Bob in
death.
