Cecelia
was born Jan. 7, 1948, in Riplinger, the daughter of Valerious and
Hazel (Vanderhoof) Manthe. She received her education in Spencer,
and after high school, she married Kelly Decorah. They had seven
children and later were divorced. They lived in Wausau and around
the area, where she worked in the family business, farmed and was a
homemaker.
After
her children were grown, Cecelia moved to Green Bay, where she
worked in a bakery. In 2001, she moved back to the area to be
closer to her children and their families. Cecelia was a great cook
and made the best fry bread in town. She enjoyed gardening, nature
watching and most of all, she loved spending time with her
grandchildren. Through her battle, she never complained or lost her
desire to
laugh.
Cecelia
is lovingly survived by her fiance, Roy Stutzman; seven children,
Connie (Scott) Lokken, Marshfield, Carol (Tim) Neumann, Hatley,
Kelly "Bucky" (Doddie) Decorah, Spencer, Kelvin "John" (Carmen)
Decorah, Neillsville, Cathy Decorah, Loyal, Kris (Jenni) Decorah,
Spencer, and Keith "Bubba" (Erin) Decorah, Neillsville; four
stepchildren, Jeff Stutzman, Gillett, Dan Stutzman, Calif., Scott
(Terri) Stutzman and Tim Stutzman, both of Pulaski. Also surviving
are 19 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, one
stepgreat-grandchild; one sister, Judy (Charlie) Wagner; three
brothers, Ronald (Lorea) Manthe, Jerry (Kathy) Manthe and Charles
(Terry) Manthe, all of Spencer; as well as many other family and
friends.
She
will truly be
missed.
She was
preceded in death by her parents, Valerious and Hazel; and a
brother-in-law, Michael
Wagner.
