Smith, Martha (9 JUL 1887 - 17? AUG 1952)
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Smith, 65, Madison, a former resident of this area, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Myre Funeral Home here in Loyal. The Rev. Alvin O. Pinke, Marshfield, officiated and burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith died at Madison General Hospital where she had been employed for the past four years.
Mrs. Smith, the former Martha Pagelsdorf, was born July 9, 1887, in Deerfield, Dane Co., Wis. Her first marriage to Richard Beilke, took place Oct. 2, 1911, at Loyal. Several years ager his death she married Vern Smith at Neillsville. He also preceded her in death. After Mr. Smith’s death, she moved to Marshfield where she was employed for four years. Four years ago she moved to Madison, residing there since that time.
Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Miss Madeline Beilke, Marshfield, and Mrs. Stephan (Lenora) Rotar, Verona; a son Herman Beilke, Detroit, Mich.; five grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. James Blecha, Pasadena, Calif.; Mrs. Joe Motchenbacher, Loyal; and Mrs. William Rondorf, Marshfield; and a brother, Ed Pagelsdorf, Loyal.
