Granton, Wisconsin Band Concert (1 September 1938)
What was probably the last open air band concert of this season, was given by the Granton Band last Saturday. The large number of people, who have attended these concerts during the summer months, shows how popular these concerts have become with the general public.
In Mrs. Eugene Crandall, Granton has a very able band director and the citizens appreciate the fine work she has been doing.
The band will continue its rehearsals during the fall and winter months. It is possible that several concerts will be given in the Town hall during the winter months.
This year the band will lose one of its very able Cornet players, in the person of Bernard Eibergen, who left Tuesday to enroll in the Radiology class at the Wisconsin General Hospital.
