Clouse, Anna (15 MAR 1881 - 12 SEP 1952)
Mrs. Lee Clouse, 71, a resident of this area the past 61 years, died at her home Friday afternoon. She suffered a stroke 15 years ago, and has been seriously ill since May.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Loyal Methodist Church. The Rev. Lee Holmes officiated and burial was made in the city cemetery.
Pallbearers at the funeral were Calvin Young, William Butterbrodt, Merlin Budtke, Kenneth Steiger, Richard Engel, and Jerry Baird.
The hymns, "In the Garden" and "Near the Cross" were sung by Mrs. Ray Prior and Mrs. G. W. Nelson, with Mrs. Byron Zepplin accompanying.
Mrs. Clouse, the former Anna Vogel, was born March 15, 1881, in Hewitt. At the age of 10 she moved to Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) with her parents, and had lived here since that time. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and also of the Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, a son, Hastings Baird, Greenwood; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters; Mrs. William Welsh, Wibaux, Mont.; Mrs. Kate Pope, Kennan; and Mrs. Harry Robinson, Hamilton, Mont.; and five brothers, George, Matt, and Henry, Loyal; Joseph, Milwaukee, and Louis, Greenwood.
