Zenz, Joseph (16 JAN 1866 - 6 OCT 1952)
Joseph Zenz, 86, a resident of this area since 1903, died at 8 p.m. Monday at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Kreuser, with whom he had made his home since the death of his wife several years ago.
Funeral services will be held at 9 p.m. Thursday in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. The Rev. Norbert King will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery.
The body will repose at the Myre Funeral Home from Wednesday morning to the time of services.
Mr. Zenz was born Jan. 16, 1866. His marriage to the former Emma Ertz took place Nov. 26, 1889, in Lancaster. They came to Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1903.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Kreuser, Loyal; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ben, Patch Grove, and Andrew and Frank, Lancaster; and a sister, Mrs. Oscar Brady, Lancaster.
A son, Joseph, four brothers, and a sister also preceded him in death.
