Klopotowski, Genevieve Dorothy (2 February 1924 - 5 December 2002)

 

Genevieve "Jean" Klopotowski, age 78, of Thorp passed away Thursday, December 5, 2002 at Oakbrook Health & Rehab, Thorp.

 

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 7, 2002, 1:00 p.m. at Thorp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daniel Welch officiating.  Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery, Withee, WI.  pallbearers were: Stewart Sarafin, Wayne Korenuk, Dave Jacques, Dale Sarafin, Patrick Sarafin and Corinne Gustafson.

 

Visitation was on Saturday one hour prior to services at the Thorp Funeral Home.

 

Genevieve Dorothy Bernard was born on February 2, 1924 in Chicago, IL to Albert and Sarah (Naydihor) Bernard and received her education at area schools.  She was united in marriage to Henry S. Klopotowski in Chicago on November 17, 1951. They continued to live in Chicago until Henry’s retirement from the U. S. Postal Service in 1983, then they moved to Thorp where she resided until her death.  Jean loved to watch television, especially Chicago Cub and Chicago Bears games on WGN.

 

She is survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry in 1993, and 2 brothers: Bruno and Benjamin and 1 sister, Elenore.
