Lund, Leonard M. (6 May 1886 - 8 March 1952)

 

Leonard M. Lund, 65, proprietor of the Lund Drug Store at Greenwood, died at the Wisconsin General Hospital at Madison at 2:30 a.m. Saturday after a short illness.

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Greenwood.  The Rev. Lee Holmes, pastor of the Grace Methodist Church officiated, and Masonic rites, conducted by A. L. Devos, Neillsville, followed.  Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery.

 

Mr. Lund was born May 6th, 1886, at La Crosse.  He was educated in La Crosse schools and was a graduate of Marquette University, Milwaukee.  After graduation, he worked in a drug store at la Crosse for a short time and then moved to Hurley where he worked in Sullivan’s Drug Store.

 

He was married to Elizabeth Evstamer at Hurley, January 2, 1912.  After his marriage he moved to Rhinelander, where he operated his own pharmacy until his retirement in May, 1941.  His first wife died in August, 1942.
