Merwin, Emily #3 (25 AUG 1861 - 2 JAN 1961)
Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Merwin, 59, who died Jan. 2, 1961, were held Thursday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church at Abbotsford at 2 o’clock. The Rev. L. F. Faivre conducted the services, during which Mrs. Weldon Brown and Miss Dorothy Kleber sang "In the Garden" and "Softly and Tenderly." Mrs. Faivre was organist and accompanist.
Grandsons served as pallbearers for the interment made in the Colby Memorial Cemetery, and granddaughters carried the floral tributes.
The pallbearers were Charles Loucks, Archie, Gilbert and Harold Merwin, George Edwards and David Stieber.
Those in charge of flowers were Mrs. David Stieber, Mrs. Orlyn Wanke, and Mrs. Ralph Remmel.
Out of town persons attending the services were Ernest Merwin, Fort St. John, Canada; Mrs. Ralph Remmel and Arvin Merwin, Kewaskum; Mrs. Orlyn Wanke, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. David Stieber, Friendship; Mr. and Mrs. George Merwin, Mr. and Mrs. James Adams, Mrs. George Snyder Sr., Mrs. George Atwood, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eggebrecht, Larry and Dale, and Mrs. F. Peterson, all of Wis. Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Merwin, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Merwin, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Merwin, Mrs. Andrew Zoromski and family, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thompson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Fait, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Eggebrecht and Mrs. Dan Blaire, all of Wausau; Mrs. Ina Metzyer, the Misses Cleone Matam and Esther Ferguson, Rib Lake; Mr. and Mrs. William Ouimette and the Rev. M. Rowland, Park Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Boneske and Mrs. Arnold Boneske, Athens; Mr. and Mrs. George Edwards, Stetsonville.
