Pomputis, Roger A. (28 JUN 1946 - 12 JAN 2011)
STANLEY -- Roger A. Pomputis, 64, of Stanley passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, Stanley.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, at The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. The Rev. Tom Myhre will officiate. A visitation will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Roger was born June 28, 1946, to George and Darlene (Litten) Pomputis in Marshfield. Roger was joined in marriage Oct. 11, 1969, to his wife, Patricia Bruchert, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee. They farmed in the town of Longwood until 1993. He later became a patrolman grader for the town of Longwood and the town of Tiffany.
Roger enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting, and trolling the lake on his pontoon boat. He enjoyed socializing with friends, feeding the birds by his house and watching his nephews play football at Owen-Withee High School and University of Wisconsin-Stout.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Patricia; his sister, Georgia (Jerry) Hester of Withee; and his brothers, Kim (Lisa) Pomputis of Withee and Kevin (Michelle) Pomputis of Owen. Roger is further survived by his nieces, nephews, great-niece and great-nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lori Pomputis; and his sister, Denise Pomputis.
