Granton Women’s Civic Club (9 September 1938)
The Granton Women’s Civic Club will be hostess to the surrounding clubs in an all day session on Wednesday, September 14 when the annual flower show and handicraft exhibits will be displayed; business meeting to begin at 10:30 a.m.; when club reports and group singing will be part of the program.
At the afternoon session, beginning at 1:30, visiting clubs will entertain by each giving a short program. A speaker will bring a message of interest to the group in the afternoon.
An Apron display will be held in which anyone may compete. Any type of apron may be entered.
A small registration fee will be charged, and this will be turned back to the clubs in the form of booths, apron and juvenile flower prizes.
Dinner will be served in the basement of the Union Church by the ladies of the three Granton organizations.
Anyone interested, club member or not, is invited to spend the day with us.
