Bush, Charles W. (9 JUL 1887 - 8 MAR 1961)
Charles W. Bush, 74, of Whiting, Ia., a former Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, died at an Onawa hospital Wednesday after suffering a heart attack at his home. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at Whiting Saturday afternoon.
Mr. Bush was a retired vocation agricultural teacher. He was born July 9, 1887, at Waupun. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1912, and moved to rural Curtiss in 1920. After farming for 17 years, he attended college at River Falls for one year and then taught for 20 years in South Dakota and Iowa. He retired two years ago.
Survivors include his widow, two sons, Hugh of Portland, Ore., and R. A. of Honolulu, Hawaii; two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Elder of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. John Eggers of Seoul, Korea; a brother, Leonard Bush of Dorchester, a sister, Mrs. Leora Beach of Manitowoc, and seven grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bush and daughters, Vivian of Chippewa Falls, Irene of Minneapolis and Elsie of Mason City, Ia., and Mrs. Leora Beach attended the funeral services at Whiting.
