Dan Peleschak, age 58, of Thorp, WI, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010, at his home. There will be no services held.  Visitation was held at Thorp Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Dan Peleschak, age 58, of Thorp, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010, at his home. A Celebration of Life was held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Thorp Funeral Home in Thorp.

 

Dan Peleschak was born on November 1, 1952, in Dixon, IL, the son of Nick and Marjorie (Kubera) Peleschak. He was raised in the Town of Roosevelt, rural Thorp, and graduated from Gilman High School.  Dan worked for Nolechek’s Meats, in Thorp, as a meat cutter and later started his own business, Dan’s Meat Processing.  More recently he worked for the U. S. Postal Service delivering mail to post offices.

 

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting.

 

He is survived by three children: Robert (Billie) Peleschak of Medina, ND, Lane Peleschak of Austin, TX, Nathan (Sarah) Peleschak of Eau Claire, WI; one grandson, Noah Peleschak; his mother, Marjorie Peleschak, of Phelps, WI; three sisters: Gloria (Jeff) Olson, and Grace (Roger) Crass of Phelps, WI; Gail (Dan) Schmitt of Gilman, WI; two brothers: Don (Luann) Peleschak of Thorp, and Neil Peleschak of Chippewa Falls, WI; many nieces and nephews and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Nick Peleschak.
