Anderson, Carl G. (14 DEC 1906 - 23 APR 1961)
Funeral services for Carl G. Anderson, 54, who died unexpectedly at Niles, Ill. of a heart attack, Sunday afternoon, will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Dorchester. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler will officiate. Military rites will be held under the auspices of the American Legion Post of Dorchester. The deceased served in the armed forces in World War II.
The body will lie in state at the Polnaszek Funeral Home here until 11:30 when it will be taken to the church.
Pallbearers for the interment which will be made in the Dorchester Cemetery, will be Al Baker, Clarence Fenske, Norbert Geiger, Tom Harellson, Dale Ridderbusch, and Dick Schmidt.
Mr. Anderson was born in Skane, Sweden, Dec. 14, 1906, and came to America at the age of 18, settling near Chicago. He and the former Agnes Marcott were united in marriage at Evanston, Ill., Dec. 7, 1942.
The couple came to Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1951. Mr. Anderson worked as a mechanic in this area before being employed as a mechanic at the Gienora Dairy Farms in Evanston, since October 1960.
Mrs. Anderson is employed at Abbotsford at the Medo-Farms Dairy Bar.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his widow and four children: Nels, 17; Victory, 16; Kenneth, 14; and Diane, 12, all at home. There are two sisters and an adopted brother who reside in Sweden.
