Phipps, Charles (1892? - 1 MAY 1961)
Charles Phipps, 68, died of a heart attack at Superior May 1, 1961. Interment was made at Superior.
The Phipps family formerly lived at Abbotsford and Mr. Phipps attended the Abbotsford schools. He was married to Miss Meta Winslow, also of Abbotsford, a niece of the late Charles W. Hoffman. Mrs. Phipps preceded her husband in death.
Mr. Phipps worked for the Soo Line railroad and later was switch man and yard master for the Chicago and Northwestern Railway at Superior.
He is survived by his second wife, three daughters and three grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.
He also leaves a brother, Alfred, at Ironwood, Mich., and a sister, Mrs. Arthur Lund of Lomira.
