Thompson, Carole M. (10 JUN 1961)

Miss Carole Marie Thompson of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) became the bride of Glen Frane Saturday morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.  The ceremony took place in the new church, where vows were witnessed by the Rev. Raymond Schulz before a nuptial high mass sung at 9:30.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Thompson of route 1, Withee; the groom is the son of Mrs. Florence Frane and the late Theodore Frane.

The bride appeared in a floor length dress of white satin with lace appliques on the bodice and skirt.  It was designed with fingertip sleeves and her fingertip veil was caught to a jeweled crown with lace appliques.  She carried a bouquet of red roses and white stephanotis.

Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Marion Kuntz, sister of the groom.  Mrs. Jean Thompson, cousin of the bride, was bridesmaid.

They wore ballerina length frocks of orchid chiffon and carried bouquets of white and yellow roses.

Howard Frane served as best man for his brother, and Charles Siggelow, a cousin of the bride, was the groomsman.

After a reception and supper served to about 100 guests at the home of the bride’s parents, the new Mr. and Mrs. Frane greeted friends at a wedding dance at Memorial Hall, Dorchester.  They left on a honeymoon trip to northern Michigan and the Mackinac bridge.

Mr. and Mrs. Frane are making their home in Abbotsford on South first Street.  He is employed at American Box Board, Colby.  Prior to their marriage, the bride was employed at the office of Sears roebuck in Milwaukee.

Among the guests from away at the wedding were Mrs. Frieda Kniess of Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. Myron Kniess and family of Missouri; Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Baily, Racine; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Pietrowski and Miss Ruth Thompson, Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Frane, Wittenberg.
