Maske, Donna Marie (Marriage - 30 January 1954)

St. Mary’s Church of Green Bay was the setting Saturday, Jan. 30, 1954 for the 9 a.m. marriage of Miss Donna Marie Maske and Kermit Newhouse.  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Cornelius Liss.  The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Maske of Green Bay, wore a chapel length Chantilly lace gown.  Her fingertip length veil was held by a Juliet Cap and she carried a bouquet of white gladioli and red roses.

Mrs. Joe Hastreiter, sister of the groom, was maid of honor.  Her gown was of pink lace and taffeta and she carried red roses and white carnations.

Joe Hastreiter was his brother-in-law’s bestman.  The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Newhouse of Green Bay, formerly of Loyal.  Ushering duties were performed by Richard Newhouse and Jim Nichols.

St. Mary’s choir and Mrs. Andy Meyers sang traditional wedding hymns.

A wedding breakfast, dinner and reception were given at the bride’s home.  A wedding trip was taken to Milwaukee and Chicago.  The new Mr. and Mrs. Newhouse will be at home at 1080 Shawano Ave. Green Bay.  The groom is employed by the Brown County Highway Commission.

Out of town guests attending the wedding were:  Mr. and Mrs. Art Laundenklaus, Jr., of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Knox, Oconto falls, and the Misses Elizabeth and Mary Ann Meyer of Milwaukee.
