Matanic, Constance (Marriage - 20 March 1954)
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church of Loyal was the scene of the early morning wedding Saturday, March 20, of Miss Constance Matanic and Joseph Voight. The parents, all of Loyal, are Mr. and Mrs. Milan Matanic and Mr. and Mrs. Percy Voight. The Rev. Norbert E. King officiated.
Miss Matanic, who was given in marriage by her father, chose for the double-ring marriage ceremony, a gown of white net nylon styled with alternate bands of net ruffles and satin ribbon and a blue silk faille duster. She carried a prayer book with cascades of ribbon and hyacinths.
Mrs. Percy Voight, Jr., sister-in-law of the groom, was matron of honor. She wore a dress of ballerina length blue lace, with bolero of blue silk faille, and a corsage of pink and white carnations.
Mickey Matanic, the bride’s brother, was bestman.
A reception and dinner for members of the immediate families only was given at the home of the bride’s parents. The destination of a short wedding trip was not revealed.
The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School, class of 1953, and has been employed as clerk in the Citizens State Bank of Loyal.
The groom is a graduate of the Loyal High School, class of 1952, and is presently stationed in Puerto Rico with the U. S. Army, Radar Unit.
