Lois I. Zimmermann-Lindner, 72, Loyal, died on Sunday, April 6, 2003, at her home.
Visitation will be held at the Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, on Wednesday, April 9, from 4-8 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to an 11 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, April 10, at St, Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, The Rev. Roman Kaiser will officiate. Burial will be in the Loyal City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Lois Irene Schultz was born on Oct. 10, 1930, in the town of Beaver, to Joseph and Lorinda (nee Scheer) Schultz. She attended Loyal High School and Milwaukee Vocational School. She married Rueben Zimermann on Oct. 16, 1948, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. He died on Oct. 7, 1973. She worked at Normington’s Laundry and Dry Cleaning for 13 years and Distributor’s Warehouse, Marshfield, for 27 years. She retired in 1992. She married Vincent "Pete" Lindner on May 25, 1991, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal. She was a member of the Loyal American Legion Auxiliary and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Her interests included cooking. baking, fishing, dancing and travel. She and her husband, Pete, traveled to Greece, Europe and Mexico and spent winters in McAllen, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent "Pete" Lindner, Loyal; three sons, David (Fran) Zimmermann, Carlisle, Pa., Rick (Elaine) Zimmermann, La Crosse, and Tim Zimmermann, Munich, Germany; two grandsons, Zachary and Matthew Zimmermann; four stepchildren, Judy (Denny) Olson, Greenwood, Darlene (Ted) Woodkey, Spencer, Kay (Thomas) Schultz, Stevens Point, and Patrick (Chris) Lindner, Loyal; one step-daughter—in-law, Lavon Lindner, Loyal; 15 step-grandchildren, Kelly (Travis) Olson, Tracy (Mark) Malm, Cheryl Olson, Peggy (Chris Helgestad) Lindner, Kim Woodkey, Jonathon Woodkey, Rick (Jenny) Woodkey, Dana (Patrick) PHIllips, Luke (Stacey) Lindner, Jill Lindner, Gretchen (Peter) Hintz, Marty Schultz, Amanda Schultz, Kurt Lindner and Heather Lindner; two step-great-grandchildren, Brett Olson and Jaden Malm; and one sister, Carolyn Kaltenbach, Milwaukee.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband, Rueben; one stepson, Michael Lindner, in 2002; and two brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Ministry Home Hospice Care and St. Anthony’s School, Loyal.
Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
