COLBY
-- Kevin J. Steinmetz, 58, of Colby passed away Thursday, Jan. 20,
2011, at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in
Marshfield.
A Mass
of Christian burial will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25 at St.
Mary's Catholic Church in Colby. Burial will take place at a later
date in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in the town of
Colby.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, 2011,
at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby and from 9 a.m. till time of
services Tuesday at the
church.
Kevin
was born Feb. 29, 1952, in Stanley to Marvin and Roselyn (Janssen)
Steinmetz. He attended Colby Elementary School and was a 1970
graduate of Colby High School. He attended Chippewa Valley
Technical College and received an associate degree in carpentry,
after which he worked for Utke Brothers Construction in Curtiss and
Rannow Cabinet and Supply in Colby, until they sold the business to
CRC Lumber; at this time, he went in business on his own, doing
carpentry work and cabinet
making.
Kevin
is survived by his father; Marvin Steinmetz of Curtiss, companion,
Sherry Hoffman of Athens, siblings, Brian (Sheila) Steinmetz of
Dorchester, Karen Hawk of Marshfield, Kerry (Cathy) Steinmetz of
Marshfield, Kay Steinmetz of Syracuse, N.Y. and Kim (Gary) Decker
of
Dorchester.
