Neuenfeldt, Ray (1926? - 26 JUL 1961)
Ray Neuenfeldt, 35, of Superior, was killed instantly July 26, 1961, near Grant Portage, Minn., when he was crushed in the cab of a truck loaded with hot tar. The brakes failed at the top of a mile long hill and the truck overturned when it failed to negotiate a right angle turn at the bottom.
He is survived by his widow, the former Jocille Sulik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sulik of Abbotsford, and two daughters, Rhonda, 10, and Mary, 6. An infant son preceded him in death four years ago.
His parents are Mr. and Mrs. William Neuenfeldt of rural Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.). He also has four sisters and three brothers, all of whom attended the funeral held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Superior, Friday morning.
Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sulik, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Decker of Dorchester, Mrs. June Rudesill and James of West Allis, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gebert of Wausau, sister of Mrs. Neuenfeldt.
