SPENCER
-- Dorothy C. Krause, 84, formerly of Spencer, passed away
peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, at the Marshfield Care
Center.
Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011, at St.
John's Lutheran Church in
Spencer.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28,
2011, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Spencer and one hour
prior to the service at the church
Saturday.
Dorothy
was born Oct. 4, 1926, in Spencer, the daughter of Louis and Rose
(Ewert) Klein. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1944. The
former Dorothy Klein was united in marriage Sept. 20, 1946, to
Donald Krause in
Spencer.
Mrs.
Krause was a homemaker and operated the family farm with Donald for
almost 30 years. She enjoyed taking care of her garden and flower
beds. She also enjoyed making all kinds of
crafts.
Dorothy
is lovingly survived by her two daughters, Patricia Haupt of
Stevens Point and Janet Krause of Wrightstown; four sons, David
(Carol) Krause of Wausau, Duwayne Krause of Twin Falls, Idaho, Dale
(Lynn) Krause of Wausau and Douglas Krause of Marshfield. She also
is survived by 11 grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
Her
parents, Louis and Rose; husband, Donald; son, Jerry Krause;
son-in-law, James Haupt; as well as a granddaughter all preceded
Dorothy in
death.
The
family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the
staff of the Marshfield Care Center and the Ministry Home Care
Hospice for the wonderful care of their
mother.
