Lydiksen, Donald (? - 16 July 1954) Donald Lydiksen, 37, Riplinger, was killed Saturday at 1:40 p.m. when the pick-up truck in which he was riding collided with another car near Stratford.  Fred Krummelbein, driver of the truck, and George Kohel, Stratford, driver of the other car, were unhurt.

Lydiksen died a short time after he was hurled from the truck, a skull fracture being the probable cause of his death.

Kohel has been charged with reckless driving and ordered to appear in Marathon County Court at Wausau, July 28.

Donald Lydiksen is a graduate of the Unity High School.  He was married to Lucille Ampe of Loyal in 1941.  His army service totaled four years.  He is survived by his wife, four children, Kenneth, 11; Lynette, 8; Paulette, 6; Sheila, 4; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lydiksen, Riplinger; one brother, Harold, Chicago; and one sister, Mrs. Ray Pipkorn, Unity.

Funeral services were held in the Swarthout Funeral Home in Spencer at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, and burial was in West Spencer Cemetery.
