Lamb, Carole L. (19 AUG 1961)

Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Lamb of Chicago announce the marriage of their daughter, Carole L., to Mr. Jerald Block, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Block of route 2, Colby.

The ceremony took place Aug. 19, 1961 at 4:30 o’clock at Irving Park Lutheran Church, Chicago, with the Rev. Douglas Bonebrake officiating.

The bride wore a gown of nylon net with embroidered dots and flowers designed with a fitted bodice, three-quarter length sleeves, as over jacket of lace and full skirt with a long lace train.

She carried a bouquet of white carnations and lily of the valley, centered with a corsage of two white orchids which she wore later.

Her attendants wore identical mint green sheath dresses with organdy overskirts and carried bouquets of mint green lily of the valley and white carnations.  Miss Karen Hansen was maid of honor and Miss Linda Laksmacher was bridesmaid.

The bride’s mother was attired in a beige dress and the groom’s mother chose pink nylon.

Tom Decker was best man for the groom.  Dennis Lamb, a brother of the bride, was groomsman and Jay Block, a brother of the groom, was ring bearer.

A reception was held at the Verdandi Club in Chicago.  Guests came from Colby, Sheboygan, North Dakota, Michigan, Texas and Illinois.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Block went on a wedding trip to Florida and after Sept. 4 will be home in Milwaukee.
