Campbell, Grace Estella (4 Dec 1913)

Last Thursday at 1 o’clock P.M. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Campbell, 13th St. North Side, the marriage of their daughter Grace Estella and Forest Don Rowe was consummated.  Rev. Harris of the M.E. Episcopal Church of Loyal officiating.

At the strains of the wedding march, the bride and groom, accompanied by Earl Campbell, brother of the bride, as best man, and Miss Ollie Shafer as bridesmaid entered the parlor and took their places beneath an arch prettily formed by lace curtains and a large white marriage bell.

The bride was attired in a brocaded amber crepe de chine gown made with surplice bodice with shirred chiffon inset and point lace trimmings.

A red and white color scheme was carried out in the dining room, where two long tables were set, and after congratulations, the guests, numbering about 35, immediate relatives of the contracting parties, partook of a sumptuous chicken pie dinner.  The bride was the recipient of valuable and useful gifts.

Mr. and Mrs. Rowe were both born and brought up in the town of York and lived neighbors all their lives except the last year.  Mrs. Rowe has resided with her parents at Neillsville and for about four months past has assisted in Woelfers’ drug store where she acquired many friends.  The couple will at present reside at the groom’s father’s farm at York where their many friends hope they will realize happiness unalloyed.
