Demmen (Demming?), Louis (1884? - 5 APR 1896)
The body of Louis, the 11-year-old son of Daniel Demming, of Neillsville, who was drowned in Black River April 5, was found Monday in a log jam about six miles from where he was drowned. When drowned the boy had on warm winter clothing, but when found he was minus coat, shoes and stockings.

A singular thing about the body of the Demmen (sic) boy, which was recovered near Neillsville last week, was that no shoes or stockings were on the feet of the body although the shoes that the lad had worn were of the lace style.
