Lieske, Carol (Marriage - 25 November 1954)
The Trinity Lutheran parsonage at Loyal was the scene of the wedding of Miss Carol Lieske, Appleton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hermen E. Lieske, Loyal, to Lester Spaulding, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Spaulding, Black Creek, at 10 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.
The Rev. E. E. Aalto officiated with the members of the immediate families attending the marriage rites.
The bride’s floor length gown was fashioned with a strapless lace bodice, a lace jacket with long pointed sleeves, and button closing and the satin skirt was topped with over skirts of net and lace. The imported French silk net veil was trimmed with pearls and sequins. Her bouquet was white mums. Miss Audrey Spaulding, Black Creek, sister of the groom, serving as maid-of-honor, wore a floor length gown of moss green lace over taffeta and carried yellow mums. The bride’s brother, John Lieske, Loyal, was bestman.
The bride’s mother wore a dress of teal blue with black velvet accessories and the groom’s mother wore an orchid dress with gray and black accessories.
A dinner and buffet luncheon were served at the farm home of the bride’s parents and a reception was given in town.
The bride is employed by the Wisconsin Telephone Company, Appleton, and the groom is an employee of the Neenah Hardwood Products Corporation, Neenah.
Upon the return of Mr. and Mrs. Spaulding from their honeymoon trip, they will make their home at Black Creek.
Out of town wedding guests came from Black Creek, Appleton, Hortonville, Navarino, Stevens Point, Chili, Spencer and Marshfield.
