Pieper, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold (1928-1953)
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Pieper celebrated their Silver Anniversary Saturday with a supper in the dining room of Trinity Lutheran Church.
An imitation cake decorated with artificial roses of silver, pink, and white, and 25 artificial daisies with silver dollars in each centered the table.
The wedding cake was served on a large mirror and was white with blue and silver decorations. Other table decorations were silver leaves. Napkins with the names of the honored couple and the dates 1928-1953 were used.
Mrs. Pieper wore a purple dress and corsage of yellow roses. The piepers have lived in this vicinity all of their lives. Their children are Mrs. Art (Beverly) Olson, Delmar Pieper, and the Misses Marlene, Joyce, and Karen, and Mrs. James(Dolores) Helms. All were present for the celebration except Mrs. Helms who lives in Milwaukee.
Marlene and Joyce Pieper sang "Jesus Lead the Way" and "I Love You Truly." Talks were given by the Rev. E. Aalto, Art Olson and Algarnon Breseman.
Those from out of town who came for the anniversary were Mr. and Mrs. Art Olson and children, Mrs. Orvin Litka and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Otto, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Pieper, owen; Mr. and Mrs. Algarnon Breseman, Granton; and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gorde, Greenwood.
