Weber, Fred H. (25 OCT 1893 - 14 SEP 1961)

 

Funeral services for Fred H. Weber, 68, who died Sept. 6, 1961, were held Saturday afternoon at the Polnaszek Funeral Home.  The Rev. Joseph Schultz of Trinity Lutheran Church at Whittelsey, officiated.  Mr. Weber had been a surgical patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, for three weeks prior to his death, which occurred at 10 p.m.

 

Pallbearers for the interment, which took place in the Abbotsford Cemetery, were Otto and Richard Stibbe of Whittelsey, Harry Emling, Ben Merwin, John Mueller and William Steinke of Abbotsford.

 

Mr. Weber was born in Chicago on Oct. 25, 1893.  He received his education in the Medford schools and was married Feb. 4, 1914, to Mary Elizabeth Clayton at Humboldt, Saskatchewan, Canada.  The couple farmed there during the early years of their marriage,  and came to Abbotsford in 1931, and have lived here since.  Mr. Weber worked as a mechanic and was the proprietor of Weber’s Radiator Shop.  After his retirement, his son, Harold, took over the business.

 

Surviving him are his widow, a son, Harold, and a daughter, Helen, both at home.  There are three sisters, Mrs. Charles Stauner, Almena, and Mrs. C. J. Fleischman and Mrs. Albert Handel, both of Medford; a half-brother, Andrew Kellner, Medford, and a half-sister, Mrs. Emily Buchholz, Prentice.

 

Relatives and friends from away who attended the funeral came from Almena, Prentice, Whittelsey, Chelsea, Medford, Greenwood and Mitchell, Ia.
