Loyal, Wisconsin (18 November 1954)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Benedict spent Monday in Wausau.

 

Darlene Garbisch daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Garbisch who underwent an operation on her leg at Madison recently has returned home but will be confined to her bed for some time.  Her leg and part of her body is in a cast. This is from the effect of polio.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Greub attended the funeral of her brother James W. Hardwick Thursday at Humbird.  Services were held from St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed Church at two o’clock with Rev. H. A. Hartman officiating.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Bartsch entertained the following relatives Sunday in honor of her father Jake Anderegg’s 80th birthday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Sladek and family of Marshfield, Mrs. Percy Zickert and family of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Freed Jacobi and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Anderegg and family.  Mr. Anderegg although 80 years old is very active and still helps with the farm duties.

 

Walter Wirkuty had the misfortune to slip on the steps at the Roddis office in Marshfield and injured his knee so badly it had to be put in a cast.

 

Mrs. Frank Sladek was hostess to a Lingerie party at her home Saturday evening.
