Mr. and Mrs. David Holbach are at home to friends on Route 2, Athens, where Mr. Holbach is engaged in farming. The wedding of David Holbach, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Holbach, and Miss Betty Ortman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ortman, all of route 3, Athens, took place Sept. 16, 1961 at St. John’s Catholic Church at Wuerzburg.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of Dacron over taffeta designed with a square lace neckline. Tiers of ruffles detailed the front of the floor length skirt. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white stephanotis.
Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Holbach and Miss Jean Kralcik and LeRoy Kralcik, Jack Ortman and Ray Rempek ushered.
The matron of honor was attired in a frock of pink chiffon over taffeta and the bridesmaid wore a similar dress of blue. They carried bouquets of matching chrysanthemums and white carnations.
Festivities of the wedding day included dinner and supper at the Milan Catholic Church parlors, a reception at the Milan Woman’s Clubhouse and a dance at Procknow’s Ballroom.
The bride is a 1961 graduate of the Abbotsford High School.
