Specht, Sharon (7 OCT 1961)
Miss Sharon Specht, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Specht of Marshfield, and James O. Seidel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Seidel of Abbotsford, repeated their marriage vows before the Rev. James Schaefer in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield, Saturday morning, Oct. 7, 1961, at 10 o’clock. The grade school girls’ choir sang during the nuptial mass which followed.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gownof Chantilly lace with long sleeves and a full hoop skirt of lace over tulle, caught up at the sides with lace roses. Sequins and pearls were used to trim the scalloped lace Sabrina neckline and the tiara which held her fingertip veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of white Fuji mums and pink roses entwined with ivy.
The bridal aides were Mrs. Michael Knauf of Marshfield, as matron of honor, Miss Beverly Werner of Marshfield, Miss Ella Seidel of Abbotsford, and Mrs. Gerald Seidel of Milwaukee, as bridesmaids. They wore street length dresses of ming blue with lace bodices and full, gathered skirts of silk organza over taffeta. They carried peacock blue baskets filled with bronze Fuji mums, white, yellow and bronze pompons and Ivy.
Attending the groom were Peter Gierl of Anoka as best man, Phillip Macht of Marshfield and Kenneth and Gerald Seidel of Milwaukee were groomsmen, and Kenneth Specht and Lary Seidel performed the ushering duties.
A reception was held at Bruno’s Supper Club.
Mr. and Mrs. Seidel left on a wedding trip to the southern states.
The bride is a 1960 graduate of Columbus High School and is employed by the Tabulated Bookkeeping Co., Inc. Mr. Seidel, a 1953 graduate of the Abbotsford High School, is part owner of the Marshfield Credit Bureau.
Guests at the wedding came from Milwaukee, Tomahawk, Green Bay, Brookfield, Spencer, Cazenovia, Wis. Rapids, Stevens Point, Lublin, Milladore, Curtiss, Abbotsford, Anoka and Rochester, Minn.
