College Notes (Fall Semester - 2010)
The following local students were named to the President’s List of High Distinction (grade point average of 3.5 or higher) for the fall 2010 semester at Western Technical College, La Crosse.
Merrillan - Chelsea Matalas, visual communications; Allan Schmidt, electromechanical technology; Joshua Seyfert, Criminal justice - laws enforcement.
Neillsville - Cassandra Harder, Physical therapist assistant
Andrea M. Wentz of Neillsville graduated magna cum laude from UW-Stevens Point during 2010 winter commencement ceremonies. She received a Bachelor of Science in exceptional education.
Tiffany N. Tresemer of Neillsville was named to the fall 2010 dean’s list of UW-Whitewater.
Ashley Thielman of Colby was named to Upper Iowa University’s 2010 fall dean’s list.
Amy L. Junk of Owen was named to the fall dean’s list for the first semester of the 2010 to 2011 academic year of Concordia University, Mequon.
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point honored the following area under-graduate students for attaining high grade point averages (GPA) for the fall semester of the 2010 to 2011 academic year:
Neillsville - Benjamin J. Galetka, honors (GPA 3.50 to 3.74); Cara M. Hart, high honors (GPA 3.75 to 3.89); Mary A. Hinkle, highest honors (GPA 3.90 to 4.0); Gregory M. Marty, high honors; Christina G. Rauk, honors; Lianah; Nathan E. Wentz, highest honors.
